Despite being swamped with work by my clients last weekend, I still managed to squeeze in a 10K run in Benidorm. For the first time, I got on the podium, coming in 2nd in my age category. Age has its advantages – the older you get, the fewer competitors in the race.
By the way, the police officers in the photos are there for a reason. The race was organized by the police and firefighters of Benidorm, and all proceeds went to the fight against childhood cancer. One cool thing: there were fire trucks at the start, and they turned on their sirens when the race began. Quite an original way to start a run!
